HTML MERCY F*CK
SynopsisYou've seen the title of this book and now you're curious, I get it. I totally do. Mercy F*uck isn't a title that inspires smiles and you'd be right. Let me start by saying his name was Axle Rhodes and everything about him, including his love for Metallica, made you want to offer yourself up as a sacrifice. And believe me, I did. My heart and v-card were his for the conquering, and because he had a pulse, twenty-four-seven erection and empty bed, he took it. It was love, it was fate, it was our happily ever after. Right? Wrong. It was bullshit. For Axle it wasn't any of those things. I know this to be true because while planning our wedding while still naked in said bed, I had the misfortune of hearing him utter the two words that described what he really thought of me. Now don't go feeling sorry for me, okay? I learned a valuable lesson about the opposite sex that day and am all the better for it. To Axle, I was a Mercy F*uck this is true. But, every man I would meet after him would become mine. My name is Drew, by the way, and nine years and a lot of practice later, I like to think of myself as the 'Mercy F*uck Master'. Trust me, it was title I earned and was seriously proud of too. Well at least I was, until the Mercy F*ucker came back. I wanted to be a sniper, ninja, rapper and a stripper (all at once). Since none of things happened to me, I write stories to pass the time. Stories about bad ass women and the men that show up for the ride with a bunch of awkward sex thrown in. I am dialogue heavy. I swear a lot. I like violence. I like angst. Most of all, I love a happy ending. My name is KS Adkins, and it's nice to meet you. — ABOUT THE AUTHOR: ANNE JOLIN --
Hey y’all,
I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns, and driving in trucks.
I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes. Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.
Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write. What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell—what would be the fun in that?
If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.
Mad love,

STILETTO SECRETS Fairy Tale Bastards Book 1
Blurb:
Nicholas Blake is your typical class A, rich bastard who loves getting what he wants. He’s spoiled, selfish and enjoys all the lavish pleasures life has to offer—especially those that involve women and getting naked. Nicholas’ life is just damn near perfect. But one night out on the town with his friends and everything changes. One encounter with a stripper in stilettos who fittingly calls herself Cinderella, and his life suddenly doesn’t seem so goddamn perfect anymore. As if that isn’t enough, there’s also Emma, the new maid in his father’s mansion that immediately piques his curiosity with her sweet smile and blue-green eyes. He finds himself drawn to her and wants nothing more than to seduce her into his bed, to make her his. But he just can’t seem to stay away from the stripper that makes him burn in ways he never knew possible. The more he starts to care for Emma, the stronger his obsession grows for Cinderella. Insane? Absolutely. Twisted? Yes. Completely screwed up? Hell yes. A decision needs to be made; he needs to choose. But will Nicholas be able to make that choice when he finds himself all tangled up in a giant cluster of love, lust and stilettos?
Excerpt: “How does it feel, Mr. Blake?” How does it feel? What kind of a fucking question was that? Nicholas was on the verge of losing control, and that was a new feeling for him, and he didn’t like it one little bit. Nicholas needed to take back the reins, somehow. “I’d be in a much better position to answer that question when you loosen these cuffs.” Abruptly she scooted up, applying more pressure to his groin. Nicholas bit his lip. “Nice try. But you know the rules.” “The one thing I know about rules, Cinderella, is that they are at their best when broken.” A warm, soft cheek hovered close to his, teasing him with a feel. “Here in my booth, rules are meant to create more pleasure,” she murmured into his ear, and he kind of wished she would trace her tongue up his neck. Just the thought of what her tongue would feel like against his skin—wet, warm and divine, made everything below his hips throb. Unable to take it any longer, he jerked forward, wanting to get closer, to taste those lips he could only imagine would taste as delicious as her voice sounded. She jerked back. “Na-ah. That kind of behavior just won’t do, Mr. Blake.” “I happen to think that bad behavior is the best kind in situations like these,” he whispered, his voice matching her allure. She gave another powerful thrust, causing him to throw back his head and groan in the back of his throat. “And what kind of situation is this exactly, Mr. Blake?” Nicholas took a breath and lifted his head again. “The kind where a man and a woman are both extremely turned on, and have the means to help each other out.” He felt her long fingers lace through his hair at the back of his head, and he involuntarily leaned a little into the touch. God it felt good, her nails softly tracing against his scalp. “Are you turned on, Mr. Blake?” “What? You can’t feel that? I say, Cinderella, that if I didn’t know otherwise I would have been offended by that question.” She abruptly tightened her grip in his hair forcing his head back slightly. “You have a smart mouth, Mr. Blake.” “I can show you what else my mouth is good for, other than my wise-ass remarks.” “I’m sure you can.”

— EXCERPT --
“You have,” Dr. Perkins agreed with a smile. “The steps you’ve taken to heal have been remarkable. You went through a tremendous amount of pain and anguish for years and came out on top.” “It has been two very long years, but you helped me face everything. You helped me understand it was not my fault.” It wasn’t easy after the night I was attacked. I went through a long stage of depression and then anger. My nights were filled with nightmares and fear of being alone. “How are things at Karen’s?” Dr. Perkins’ question brought a smile to my face. “Great,” I said without hesitation. “Karen has been such an amazing part of the last two years. Without her, Casey, and even Carter and Dylan, I’m not sure I would have come this far. They’ve been there for me every step of the way.” My mind drifted back to the morning of the attack… *** I slowly opened my eyes, looking around an unfamiliar room. I was in a home I did not recognize. The sun was bright and it shone through the large living room. I was wrapped securely in a big, warm blanket as a small fire crackled in the fireplace just across the room. I could hear people talking in another room to my right, just before an officer came through the door. He stopped a few feet away and kept his distance as he offered me a gentle smile. “It’s good to see you awake,” he said. He approached slowly and knelt down next to me. Without warning, a sense of fear ran through me. I knew he wouldn’t hurt me, but the memories from earlier that morning came rushing back. I began shaking uncontrollably, and he quickly inched back, allowing more room between us. “I won’t hurt you. No one is going to hurt you,” he assured me in a gentle tone. “Can you tell me your name? Is there someone I can call? Can you tell me what happened?” All I could manage to say were two words— “Karen Andrews.” She was, at this point, the only adult I wanted and trusted. I sat up, wrapping the blanket tighter around me as I stared at the two people watching from the doorway where the cop had entered. I assumed they were the same two people I had seen coming out of the barn only hours ago. The cop stepped away and dialed his phone, leaving space for the older woman to approach. “Honey, can I get you anything, maybe some water?” she asked in a soothing voice. “Yes, please,” I whispered as I pulled the blanket in toward my chest. “Thank you.” My eyes filled with unshed tears, but I began to blink rapidly to hold them back. She turned and quickly headed toward the kitchen. I turned toward the fire, staring at the flames. I could still feel the man’s hands on my body and smell his stale breath in my face as he kissed my neck. My stomach began to turn as I remembered the things he said to me, the plans he had for me. I looked back as the woman returned, carrying a small glass of ice water. She carefully placed it in my hands, smiling kindly before exiting the room once again. I felt lost and broken. I spent so much time hiding, and now everyone would know. People would look at me differently, treat me differently. The idea of it all made me feel nauseated. “Payton! Oh my god, what happened?” Karen's voice came out of nowhere. I hadn’t realized I was lost in my own thoughts. My mind must have wandered off in the time it took for the police to locate her. My hands began to tremble as she stepped into the living room and rushed in my direction. And then I saw him—Dylan had come too. Karen took a seat at my side and wrapped her arm around my shoulders protectively, but I couldn’t stop looking at Dylan. He walked toward me and knelt in front of me as he reached out and took one of my hands in his. “It was John, wasn’t it,” he whispered, “who left the bruises?” I could only nod my head in response before Dylan wrapped his arms around me and held me close. It was then that I let go and stopped fighting the tears I spent years hiding. I sobbed heavily against Dylan’s chest as I gripped his shirt tight in my hand. The last thing I wanted was for him to let go. *** “Payton?” Dr. Perkins said my name to gain my attention. I looked up and shrugged. “Sorry. I was just remembering that day. Thinking about when Karen showed up.” “And Dylan?” she added with a smile. “Yeah, and Dylan,” I confirmed. Once again I looked down at my hands, still nervously picking away at the napkin I held. “How are things going with Dylan?” she asked, and my stomach tensed.

C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.
She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You will always find her with her kindle or paperback in hand as it is her favorite pass time.
Welcome, Zoe, to The Musings of Many!
How long does it take you to write a book? It generally takes 2-3 months depending on the length of the book. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books? How much research is involved when writing your books? I always do research. Even for romance novels I do a great deal of research on my characters jobs, clothes, and hobbies. Kristine Platt in Losing Grip is a civil lawyer. I researched what her days would be like and even specific cases that she’d be working on. Her lover is a lawyer as well, and I needed to understand the dynamics of their shared experience. James Day, in Losing Her took a great deal of research, he is a complex character. Do you write full-time or part-time? I have a regular job, so I write when I’m not working, which is as much as I can manage. Do you write every day, 5 days a week or as and when? Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day? When I am working on a novel I aim for 2,000 words a day, 6 days a week. It is something outlined by Stephen King in his book, On Writing. I have followed it for years. Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you? What is the hardest thing about writing? Letting go of your characters when the work is complete

Brenda, welcome to The Musings of Many! I am thrilled to be guesting on Olivia’s blog today. Thanks so much! I am always fascinated by other writer’s writing processes. I read once that Diana Gabaldon (Outlander) write out of order. She’ll sit down to that day’s writing and wait for an image to come to mind. Then from that image she extrapolates out into a full scene. It’s only after she’s written a number of scenes that she decides what order to put them in, and how to connect them. This sort of process scares the bejeebers out of me. I am much more comfortable with spreadsheets and outlines and a firm, straightforward approach. But if I’m honest, those things only give me an illusion of control. Stories have a way of switching and swinging—those scenes I thought were vital to the book are no longer necessary, because of something my characters did spontaneously. As I hold down a full-time day job, and I am NOT a night-owl, I can only spare a couple of hours each day to write. So it takes me about eight to ten months to complete a full-length novel. Then I usually let it sit for a month or two before going back to do revisions. It’s only after that second run through that I send it to beta readers and critique partners. They always come back with great suggestions, so that’s the next step. And the final step is to send it to my editor for final, final comments. So all in all, it could take me a year and a half to two years from start to finish. That’s why a new release is so exciting! I starting writing When Time Falls Still in March 2014, and all that sweat and effort and pain-staking work is finally available to share. Thanks to Olivia for letting me bring this story to you! Blurb: Professor Charlotte Girardet is focused on one thing – securing tenure at a large, prestigious university. Her career is firmly on track, but her life is complicated by her attraction to rough and rugged security guard Justice Cooper. It isn't only Charlotte's heart in danger, however. Tensions blaze on campus after several students are viciously attacked. Struggling to balance her ambitions and her growing passion, Charlotte takes a leap of faith, and trusts Justice with her deepest secret. But when the assailant's attacks escalate to kidnapping, will Charlotte have the chance to decide between her long-held dreams or a new life with Justice? Excerpt: Charlotte braced herself against the motion of the elevator, but not before her breasts, protected only by thin fabric and thinner lace, brushed Justice’s chest. He was standing so close she felt overwhelmed. Not intimidated—he didn’t scare her—just...swamped by his nearness. Or maybe it was the heat in his eyes. Ocean depths had nothing on the blueness searing into her, she thought wildly. Vertigo weakened her knees, but she couldn’t look away. "I—" She broke off, swallowed, and tried again. "I don’t know what to say." He toyed with the end of her braid, and she swore she could feel the touch of his fingers fizzle up the strands, down her spine and into the soles of her feet. "Did you honestly think I wasn’t attracted to you?" His voice rumbled, low and sexy. The doors slid open. Thank God the hallway was empty. Her legs felt disconnected from her body, but she managed not to stumble. She unlocked her office, seeking refuge inside. Justice followed. "Charlotte?" He wasn’t going to let it go. Perseverance was his greatest strength—and his most irritating habit, she thought peevishly. "I threw myself at you and you walked away." "I just about took you up against your front door." Frustration coloured his tone. He scrubbed his hands over his close-cropped head. "Fine. Maybe you were right." She lifted her satchel off her shoulder and tossed it into a nearby chair. "Maybe I wasn’t thinking clearly enough." "Maybe." He crossed his ankles and leaned against the wall, the casual stance belying the tension evident in the fists jammed in his pockets, the set of his shoulders. "Now what?" "I don’t know." The collar of his uniform jacket had kinked up on one side. Without thinking, she stepped forward to smooth it down. He caught her hand and held it. Her fingers curled into his. The connection felt good. It felt right. Maybe she should stop thinking altogether, and just go with her gut. She never did that. She planned and researched and debated and planned some more. Trying to regain her equilibrium, she tugged away and escaped behind her desk. "Let’s look at this rationally," she said. His scarred eyebrow arched and amusement flickered in his face, but she battled on. "We are both healthy, single adults. For some reason, we seem to have strong physical chemistry." "Some reason?" The amusement was uppermost, now. His lips remained firm and straight, but she could see it in his eyes, as usual. "Don’t take this the wrong way, but you are not the kind of man I ever thought I’d be attracted to." He lowered his lids and regarded her through narrow slits. "Right back at you." She bristled, but took her own advice and let it go. "Regardless, we could take advantage of this mutual appeal." "There’s the professor I know and...admire," he murmured. She ignored the sarcasm. "I’m only here for a few more months." The exam today was the last she needed to invigilate. As soon as they were marked and the results submitted, she was flying out to spend Christmas with Sonny and family, returning a few days before the start of the winter session. "Are you in any of my classes next semester?" He shook his head, watching her closely. "Would you consider a short-term, exclusive relationship, with a predefined end date?" There, she thought. That sounded mature, sensible. No need to let emotions colour what promised to be a satisfying adult affair. He straightened from the wall, looming to his full height. "Would this so-called relationship be strictly physical? Or could it involve social aspects as well?" Once again, she sensed an underlying current of laughter, but she ignored it. "I can’t see why not." "And it would come to an end the same time as your contract?" "Or earlier, of course, should either of us find it no longer meets our needs." "I thought English professors were supposed to be romantic." Romance. Love. That’s what hurt you. Sex, on the other hand, was just sex. "Not all of us." Welcome Cynthia to The Musings of Many!
How long does it take you to write a book? It varies. I’ll sometimes start a book, writing a little bit along, here and there, spending a month of two to write. At times, pending my schedule, I can sit down and write a book in about a week. Of course the creative juices have to be flowing to make that happen, but the last three books in the Need Series were all written a little over a week. What is your work schedule like when you're writing? It varies. I’m a full-time wife and mom, so my life is hectic and busy. I often write when everyone’s asleep late at night, in the middle of the night, and early morning hours. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books? There’s a lot more involved than what people realize. How much research is involved when writing your books? Depending on the topic of the book, it could be little to lots. The Need Series has required quite a bit. I would say what they are, but then it would give away the plots. Do you write full-time or part-time? Part-time. Do you write every day, 5 days a week or as and when? When time allows, when the creative moments hit, usually when everyone’s asleep, late night, middle of the night, early morning, and occasional weekends. It varies. Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day? Not really. Sometimes I’m on deadline so then I have to do a certain number of words, but I’m varied usually. Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you? I often start out with a general outline and idea of what I’d like to see happen and where I’d like to see things going. However, when I get started the characters sometimes take over and drive it in a whole new direction – a better one. I know that sounds strange, but I’m not the first author to have this happen. I usually go with the flow, but keep certain aspects in the book. What is the hardest thing about writing? Finding the time and not going overboard with the words. I was so used to writing books about two characters where their story covers the course of several books. I’ve switched to one main couple per book, but keeping some of the previous couples in the background throughout the series. You are limited more in what you can say, what needs to happen, and sometimes you have to cut some things that you’d like to put in, but realize they’re not really needed to make the story. Any tips on how to get through the dreaded writer’s block? I know this may sound silly, but I read in the genre I’m writing in. I go crazy with the reading. The words of other authors inspire me and sometimes help me realize how I need to phrase something where it makes sense – I’m often making things more difficult than it needs to be. Do you let the book stew – leave it for a month and then come back to it to edit? I’ve tried that and found it’s not for me. I prefer to go right from writing to editing, then send it off to my editor and not look at it for a couple weeks, until it comes back. Then I may add or change some things before giving it back to my editor to see if they like the new additions. If I wait a month, then I’m already on to something else in my mind. Character Interview with Jackson “Jax” Lombardi from I Need You Forever, Need #5 How old are you? 28 Did you have a happy childhood? It was amazing. My family was always very close, but we grew up in a neighborhood where we were close to a couple other families, the Prescotts and the Bradfords. All of us felt like we had more than one set of parents and we all considered ourselves a huge family. I grew up with one of my best friends, who later became my girlfriend, and then my wife. I now work for her family as the marketing director at Prescott International. Past/ present relationships? How did they affect you? I mainly grew up loving Gabriella, or Gabi. I still remember the day she was born, I was several years older than her. We tried dating other people for a while, but we realized we were each other’s soul mates and have pretty much been together all our lives, until that fateful night when she lost her life, but managed to save our unborn child. I keep feeling I may be at fault for some of what happened the night she died. I know there’s nothing I could do to stop the aneurysm from bursting, but still… At least I have a part of her, a part of us still with me, in our daughter Nicola. I promised to love Gabi forever, but now that she’s been gone a couple of years, I’m feeling tempted. There’s something about Robin that calls to me, intrigues me. Am I betraying our love by moving on or should I continue to focus on just work and my daughter? What is the one word you would use to define her? Intoxicating What music do you listen to? Eighties music and today’s music What trait do you find most admirable in others? Honesty, capacity to love, and their perseverance. Do they want a job that helps people or a job that makes money? I work for my former father in-law. I make great money, but I also like to help others. What are your long term goals? Maybe find someone to spend the rest of my life with, to help raise my daughter and possibly have more kids. What are your short term goals? Finally give into grief and let go of the past. Do you have any bad habits? Dwelling on the past and what might have been.

Need Series #5
Genre: Erotic Romance
– SYNOPSIS –
Jackson Lombardi refused to grieve for the loss of his wife, Gabi, living the past two years for his daughter and work. Everyone pushed for him to move on, but his heart was fighting a battle between holding on to the past and letting go.
Robin Patrick was a dynamo for the Marketing Department. She came in when all hell broke loose over Gabi’s death, doing everything to ease Jackson’s stress levels and keep her mind off her own problems too. Everyone thought she had it all together, not realizing she was living a lie - covering who she was for the past three years. She’s hiding from a monster who wanted to own her and her father’s company that wants to stop the investigation into his death.
She’d pulled everything off until the one person who’d been her rock had been lost to her forever. A chance encounter with her boss, in the most unlikely of places, was the beginning of her salvation and the road to a temptation she wasn’t sure she’d survive.
Jackson was a force to be reckoned with, an alpha extreme, perfect for her submissive nature. At least she could forget about her past, for a while, and enjoy the pleasures of today – knowing that an eternity would never be possible with someone who couldn’t love her as long as he held onto the memories of his wife or could it?
What he Needs is the promise of forever, but can he finally let go of the past and open his heart to the idea of new

Jax took a deep breath in, before admitting, “I want so badly to tie your hands with my shirt because I need the control it would provide, but I don’t want to trigger any bad memories.” I lifted my arms to him with the shirt still hanging loose around my wrists. “Go ahead, sir. Do with me as you please. I’ll let you know if things get too much for me.” He took the shirt and began to twist it a few times, pulling it here and there until my wrists were bound, and then returned my arms to the bed. His body was perched above mine taking in every inch of me before he grabbed my panties, ripped them from my body, and left me bared to him. “I don’t want any contracts between us. We both know what the BDSM lifestyle is about. I assure you, I’m not a sadist or masochist. I only live for the dominance, the submission, and a little kink in the bedroom. I’ll ask you about things and how you feel about them prior to us doing anything. You can pick a safe word if you’d like, but if you tell me to stop, then I’ll do just that.” “Mushrooms,” I whispered. His face drew up in a scowl. He hated mushrooms as much as I did, but then it dawned on him. “Your safe word?” I nodded. His lower body pressed against mine while his arms tried to support most of his weight. A half smile lit up his face. “Only you’d pick something that we both hate as a safe word.” I couldn’t help but smile with the look he was giving me - one of adoration. I knew this was a pivotal moment and there would be no going back. I only hoped the risk of jumping in was worth it. Jackson’s tone got serious. “You are so beautiful, someone I’ve come to care about and cherish. I know we just promised to take things slow, but I don’t know that I can resist any longer. You’ve thawed my heart and awakened my carnal desires. I’ve fought the urges to kiss you and to be with you, but I can’t fight any longer. I need you, Robin. I need your submission to me – body and soul.” “Yes,” flew out of my mouth in a heated sultry tone as I arched my back to him. His words were heating me from the inside out, and I needed to feel the power of the connection surging between us. I wanted to experience the force of his dominance. A smirk spread across his face as his hand pushed some of my hair back behind my ear. “Don’t think for one minute that I’ll let you have all the control. I’ll do right by you and test your limits. All I ask is that you trust me to guide you to where we both find nirvana.” I closed my eyes and cherished each word he’d just said. “Yes, sir.” He continued to rest his weight on my lower body as he wiggled his way out of his boxers and threw them on the floor. His knees pushed mine further apart as he slipped his fingers through my folds to test my wetness. “You’re soaked.” He seemed surprised. “Only for you, sir,” I admitted sheepishly, casting my eyes down because I wasn’t supposed to have direct eye contact with a dominant.
